Interns at Kansas City Museum serve in a variety of ways, and earn academic credit at the same time. We have established working relationships with a host of regional academic institutions, including the University of Missouri, Park University, the Kansas City Art Institute, the Shawnee Mission school district, and others.
Interns have options, depending upon their interests.
- Curatorial Interns assist the Museum director with preparation of materials for upcoming or new exhibitions
- Education Interns assist the Curator of Education with the development and delivery of education programs at the Museum and in the community
- Arts management interns work in the Museum offices supporting day-to-day operations of a cultural institutions
- Marketing Interns assist the Community Relations specialist in the work of publicizing our activities.
A few internships provide a stipend, and others are volunteer positions.
