On April 15, 1912, Titanic, the world's largest ship, sank after colliding with an iceberg, claiming more than 1,500 lives and shaking the world's confidence in the infallibility of modern technology. The story of the sinking is legendary; now experience the wonder and tragedy of this ill-fated Ship on a journey through Titanic history. Travel back in time with compelling stories, historically accurate room recreations, and nearly 300 authentic artefacts recovered on seven research expeditions since the Ship's discovery in 1985.

Maker Faire: Kansas City celebrates things people create themselves — from new technology and electronic gizmos to urban farming and “slow-made” foods to homemade clothes, quilts and sculptures. This family-friendly event demonstrates what and how people are inventing, making and creating. It brings together Makers, Crafters, Inventors, Hackers, Scientists and Artists for a faire full of fun and inspiration. Come see what others are making and be inspired to tap into your own creativity!

Expo Americas

Sep 15 - 16 This jam packed two-day business and consumer expo will feature a Quinceanera Fashion Fare, Cultural Arts Plaza, Business Economic Symposium, Technology Plaza, Career Fare, Health & Fitness Pavilion Children's Adventure City and Culinary Plaza. An estimated 500 exhibitors will participate.

Engineerium

Students can work, play and perform experiments in a real engineering environment at the Burns & McDonnell Engineerium.

KC Rail Experience

A permanent exhibit celebrating the exciting history of the American railroad. Experience sights and sounds from the golden age of rail travel in this permanent addition to Union Station.

Reed Family Model Locomotive

A unique locomotive model donated by the family of John Shedd Reed, former chairman, president and chief executive officer of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.
