While Union Station is most famous for its role as a passenger train station, the renovated station also features several model train layouts for the public to enjoy. Below is a map that shows the location of each of these layouts. All of these, with the exception of the one in Science City and the one in the KC Rail Experience, are free to the public.

Volunteers from the Union Station Kansas City Model Railroad Society spend countless hours building, maintaining and staffing these train layouts. Donations are greatly appreciated to help maintain these layouts and help the model train presence continue to grow and prosper.
