Professional Development Workshops
Early Childhood Educators may enroll in these professional development workshops to enhance their curriculum, and meet required training hours.
Workshops provide guidance in using science as a focus for early learners.
All workshops have been approved for clock hours in both Missouri and Kansas. Additional CEU credits are optional.
These excellent classes involve interaction and are best experienced with a group of ten or more.
Participation can be through a childcare center or individual caregivers.
Group enrollment (minimum ten) at your early childhood center with flexible dates.
Early childhood centers or individuals may gather a group (minimum 10) to request a workshop date and program of their choice.
Workshops may be requested for the Science City location or on-site at specified group center.
OR
Individual enrollments for Science City location with date to be determined. These at-large enrollments will be placed on a wait list, and will be contacted to affirm interest when a sufficient group has enrolled on the wait list.
Payment is not required until booking is confirmed for each enrollee.

Science Play in Your Classroom
Learn to implement science learning with guided explorations in all classroom centers.
Gain the confidence needed to be an effective science facilitator.
Obtain practical examples to integrate science into daily experiences for young children.

Fee: $20/person Minimum enrollment: Ten

I Wonder Why, Science & Discovery
Plan and design investigative science experiences for young children.
Learn about organizational tools to encourage inquiry based learning with children.
Become creative in adding science activities to popular childhood themes.
Approved for four clock hours for Missouri & Kansas
Fee: $40/person Minumum enrollment: Ten
Optional: .4 Continuing Education Units (CEU)
($6 additional fee for optional CEU credit upon project completion)
This class is qualified for four clock hours credit in both Missouri and Kansas. Guidance will be given in using science as a focus for preschoolers learning within each center of the classroom.

Wired for Science - Infants & Toddlers
Guide the learning process through inquiry and collaborative hands-on investigative activities.
Engage in conversation to facilitate cognitive development in young children.
Explore and investigate ways to respond to the why questions of even the youngest students.
