Wade Sisson – Titanic: History and Mystery

Join us for a special 60-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q & A that explores the story of the Titanic and her sister ships from their construction and design to the disaster that shocked the world. Local Titanic author and historian Wade Sisson will guide us through the sinking, rescue and its aftermath. We will also hear about common Titanic myths and some of the newer conspiracy theories.

This important exhibition widens the lens on the Titanic tragedy to include other important players, including: her sister ships Olympic and Britannic; the rescue ship Carpathia; the Californian that sat nearby in silence; and the largest actor of all in the story, the Iceberg whose journey is traced from its birth to its complete dissolution in the Atlantic just a few short days after the disaster.
