Preservation Fund
Since construction began inAugust 1910, our historic landmark has been the keeper of many stories of our community. As a destination for culture, creativity, entertainment, learning and fun for future generations, Union Station has a unique role in capturing Kansas City’s history and artfully shaping its future. Your contributions to support Union Station Kansas City’s capital projects help secure ongoing restoration and preservation for KC’s Beaux-Arts architectural beauty.
Education Fund
Union Station’s Education Fund advances innovation and ingenuity through providing access to foundational and transformative STEM-based educational experiences to all Kansas City children. The Education Fund offers scholarships and opportunities for educators and learners to access hands-on learning with real-world applications to build creativity and 21st-century skills through our educational attractions and programming.

Transfer Stocks to Union Station
By donating stock, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, or bonds to support Union Station, you can save on two types of taxes by avoiding capital gains tax and often getting a full deduction for the value of your gift. Note: When you donate, please use this tool so we can track your donation and send you the right receipt so you get the tax savings you deserve.
Donate from your IRA to Union Station
Individuals 70 ½ years old or older may be eligible to give from their IRA account 100% tax-free and receive tax benefits in return. Donors may give up to $100,000 per year in IRA funds without an income tax penalty even while it may satisfy a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if you’re required to take one.
