Pick Up/Drop Off
Visitors with wheelchairs or strollers can be dropped off at our Front Entrance facing Pershing Road or on the west side of the building to the right of the railroad tracks at the circle drive.
Mother’s Nursing Room
Private Mother’s Room located on B Level across from The Innovation Center. Additional space is available in Grand Plaza’s women’s restroom.

Parking at Union Station
ADA Parking is available in our South Plaza parking lot and Parking Garage

Parking passes for members must be picked up at the Box Office during business hours. Parking passes are not valid during event parking.
South Plaza & Triangle Lot
Located on the south side of Union Station, accessible via West Pershing Road.
For your convenience, these two parking lots are equipped with Credit Card Payment Kiosks. Cash is not accepted. Instructions are displayed on the screen and all major credit/debit cards are accepted. You may also pay through the “Park Smarter” App, available on Google Play and the App Store. This option allows you to pay from your phone, track and extend parking time.
If you prefer to pay cash for parking, please use our West Yards Garage, conveniently located adjacent to Union Station and accessible via the bridge from South Plaza (Kessler Street entrance) or from the lower Westside accessible via Pershing Road.

Union Station Parking Garage
The Carriage Pavilion Bridge & Pedestrian Walkway to the West Yards Parking Garage is now complete. The bridge entrance is accessible via Kessler Road through the Carriage Pavilion located on the west side of Union Station’s front entrance. The West Yards Parking Garage is a four-level parking garage. The garage is located on the west side of Union Station, also accessible via Broadway Street.
Limited parking is available in front of Union Station. The east side is reserved for Union Station visitors, the west side is reserved for U.S. Post Office patrons.

Kansas City’s bike-sharing system is here for short trips around the Downtown area. Union Station’s B-station is located on the east side of the building facing Main. Visit B-Cycle to learn more about the service and see the rates and plans.
Kansas City’s bus system makes several daily stops at Union Station. Visit the Metro website for routes and schedules.

The Southwest Chief operates between Chicago and Los Angeles, with Kansas City Union Station as an important stop.
The Missouri River Runner travels from Kansas City to St. Louis and includes additional stops in Independence, Lees Summit, Warrensburg, Sedalia, Jefferson City, Hermann, Washington, and Kirkwood.
Union Station Bicycle & Operator Policy
- Exterior bike racks available on the east and west sides of the main building as well as a bike rack in the Southwest parking lot.
- A reserved bike rack for tenants and employees of Union Station Kansas City is located on Level B OK Street.
- Union Station regulations prohibit the attachment of bicycles to trees, posts, signs, stairwells, railings, or handicapped ramps on the exterior or interior areas of the property. Any bicycle found secured to any object other than a bike rack is subject to removal by Union Station Security.
- No bicycles are allowed to be parked or stored in the interior building of Union Station. Union Station does, however, allow cyclists to transport their bicycles through Union Station to access Amtrak or for crossing the Michael R. Haverty Freight House Bridge. The bike must be clean and the wheels free of debris. The operator must walk the bicycle through the interior of the building to those approved destinations.
- Cyclists must have street or nonabrasive shoes that will not penetrate or damage floors in Union Station.
- Bicycles left locked to Union Station bike racks for more than seventy-two (72) hours are subject to removal.
- If you are a tenant or employee of USKC and need to leave your bicycle parked at the tenant bike rack on Level B, please contact USKC security (816) 460-2030 to make arrangements.
- Union Station will hold bicycles that are removed from any of the bike racks for 30 days and, if unclaimed, will donate them to a local Kansas City charity.
- Union Station is not responsible for safeguarding bicycles while secured to bike racks. Union Station is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of cyclist’s property.
