Union Station Kansas City SCORES with Another New Tenant Win!

National Soccer Coaches Association of America Announces Move to Union Station

KANSAS CITY, MO – June 27, 2014 – Union Station Kansas City announced today that as of this September, it will be the new home of The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Locating into roughly 10,000 square feet of Union Station, the NSCAA will fill the last significant available office space in the iconic Kansas City landmark. Included in the new space will be the historic Harvey House office.  The growth of the Association has precipitated the move from its current location at 800 Ann Ave. in Kansas City, Kans.

“The NSCAA has called Kansas City home for more than two decades and we are happy to continue that tradition,” Joe Cummings, NSCAA CEO, said. “The move to Union Station is hitting another milestone in the Association’s 73 year-history, and will give us the resources to continue our work. During this process we have formed a great partnership with Union Station, aligning two organizations that value education. “

NSCAA professional staff and the many visitors who visit its headquarters annually will also benefit from Union Station’s position as an anchor of the Crossroads District that boasts a vibrant, professional, creative and cultural community that is quick to embrace an active lifestyle and a focus on work/life balance.

“Once again, Union Station proves to be Kansas City’s destination of choice,” George Guastello, Union Station president and CEO, said. “We are pleased to welcome NSCAA during the 100th anniversary of the Station.  The NSCAA’s core values of ‘Learn. Participate. Belong.’ reflect essential components of our own strong foundation of success.  Its national presence and international reach are a great addition to the Union Station family.”

Moving quickly and deliberately to secure the lease (even prior to current tenant departure), Union Station was also able to creatively expand office space for two existing and growing tenants.

“We are deliberate and strategic in building the roster of leading local and national brands that locate in Union Station,” Bob Regnier, board chairman of Union Station Kansas City, said. “That roster has kept us at capacity and the result is a terrific blend of talent focused on things that matter most to our large and diverse community.  Union Station has truly become the perfect blend of entertainment, business, education and transportation.”
