Friday, Sept. 5 – 5:00 to 9:30 p.m.
Logan Mize joins the lineup of free entertainment as Kansas City Celebrates at Union Station
KANSAS CITY, MO – Heartland Country-Rocker, Logan Mize, has been announced as the live music feature for this Friday’s kickoff to the Celebration of the Century at Union Station. The live outdoor evening of festivities is free and open to the public.
Mize has opened for headliners such as Lady Antebellum, the Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Leann Rimes and Eric Church, and now Kansas City welcomes Clearwater, KS native Mize to perform at a spectacular evening of festivities to celebrate the Station’s centennial anniversary. The Nobody in Nashville singer takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. in front of Union Station.
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring this talented, ambitious country music star to Kansas City to kick off the Celebration of the Century here at Union Station”, George Guastello, president and CEO of Union Station said. “He will help set the tone for an unbelievable evening of great fun and high energy that Kansas City will never forget.”
Described as “the honest new voice,” Mize is known for his earthy songs and his ability to merge mainstream country with front porch rock ‘n’ roll – a mix sure to please a wide range of tastes.
The evening will also include The Kansas City Chiefs Red Friday Pep Rally – with live appearances by football players, cheerleaders and KC Wolf; and a breathtaking high-tech digital journey created by Quixotic, Bazillion Pictures and BIC Media and presented by Ivy Funds, Waddell and Reed, and the National World War I Museum. An extraordinary fireworks finale will cap off the historic evening.
Union Station officials encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and arrive outside the station and surrounding grounds as early as 5:00 p.m. to enjoy the entire evening.
