Bug expert from the Smithsonian to give talk, demonstrations at Union Station

An entomologist from the Smithsonian Institution will give a free lecture at Union Station on Thursday night and will give demonstrations Friday and Saturday for patrons of the “Xtreme Bugs” exhibit and at Science City.

Nathan Erwin, known for appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday at the City Stage Theater. The event is free but reservations are required at unionstation.org

Erwin will give demonstrations at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday at the “Extreme Bugs” exhibit. On Saturday, he will give demonstrations at the exhibit at noon, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. He will also give demonstrations in Science City at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday. All those events are free with ticketed admission.
