Visit KC Announces Visitors’ Choice Awards Winners, awarding Union Station “Best of Kansas City,” “Favorite Historical Attraction,” “Favorite Landmark,” and “Favorite Family-Friendly Attraction”
(January 17, 2019) KANSAS CITY, MO – Visit KC announced Wednesday that after months of voting, Union Station has earned the most-coveted “Best of Kansas City” in the 2018 Visitors’ Choice Awards. In addition Union Station also earned: “Favorite Historical Attraction,” “Favorite Landmark,” and for the second year in a row, Union Station’s internationally-awarded Science City was recognized as “Favorite Family-Friendly Attraction.”

The Visitors’ Choice Awards is an annual program that honors area businesses as tourist favorites. Nominees were exclusively selected and voted upon by visitors who reside outside the five-county metro. As recognized by tourists and validated by these awards, Union Station is an iconic landmark and a vacation destination – welcoming and inviting tourists and the local community alike. Union Station and Science City have been recipients of the Visitors’ Choice Awards in various categories as far back as 2014. Receiving back-to-back awards of Favorite Family Friendly Attraction, Historical Attraction and Favorite Landmark in previous years reflects the enduring position Union Station has earned among regional, national and international guests.
