Important Updates regarding Chiefs Parade and Rally & Union Station’s Chiefs Fan Zone

Please note the following updates and information concerning the Chiefs Parade and Rally and Union Station’s Chiefs Fan Zone.

CHIEFS PARADE AND RALLY:

• For information on the parade route, road closures, transit, parking, and accessibility, please visit >> https://www.sportkc.org/chiefsparade

• Union Station is unable to provide additional information beyond what is included on the Official Parade Website.

• Paid parking immediately around Union Station will be available on a first come basis at Union Station’s West Yards Garage ($35 payable on entry, credit cards only) and The Crown Center ($40 parking payable on entry, credit cards only).

• Union Station’s West Yards Garage will CLOSE at 8pm Tuesday and (for security purposes) all vehicles must be removed from the garage before that time. The West Yards Garage will reopen at midnight with parking available on a first come basis at $35 per car. No food, drinking, grills, or other open flames will be allowed in the garage.

• Union Station will be closed to the public from 10pm Tuesday to 6am Thursday.

• The Freight House Pedestrian Bridge connecting Union Station and the Crossroads District and the Link connecting Union Station to the Crown Center will both be closed starting Tuesday evening and will remain closed all day Wednesday.

• For those unable to attend in person, the celebration will air live on KSHB 41 and online at visitkc.com/chiefs/champions-parade-livestarting at noon

• Union Station will also be providing highlights from the Rally prior to and during the event live on our social media accounts throughout the day. We will not be able to respond to direct messages to or questions posted on our social media accounts on Wednesday.

CHIEFS FAN ZONE AT UNION STATION:

• The Fan Zone in our Grand Plaza is now closed as our operations teams work to transform Union Station ready to host Wednesday’s Super Bowl Rally, and then to host another large event this weekend.

• The new WORLD CHAMPIONS AlphaLit installation in our Grand Hall will remain accessible until 8pm Tuesday and then from 6:30am to 11pm on Thursday. We are hoping we will be able to keep the installation at Union Station after Thursday, at least thru this weekend. But that is not yet confirmed.

• We are also working to see if some of the smaller Fan Zone installations from our Grand Plaza can be relocated to Grand Hall for a short time. With so many logistic challenges to work through, that is also still to be confirmed.

• We will provide additional updates on our Facebook Page as we have them, but right now can not confirm any plans beyond this Thursday. Please check our Facebook page for ongoing updates.
