From 2024 Winter Edition of OnTrack
What makes a movie classic? Is it the way it was made? Maybe it’s the actors and actresses. Or maybe it’s because we revisit them year after year, and they’ve become a part of our lives. If you consider a movie to be classic, you can probably recite the lines, sing the songs, know when the best jokes are coming, and when you’ll need to cry. What better place to watch a classic movie than Union Station, one of the most enduring and classic buildings in all of Kansas City?
For the 12th year in a row, Holiday Classic Movies return to the Extreme Screen Theatre and it’s easy to see why. There’s something nostalgic about relaxing into the big seats, enjoying your popcorn, drinking your ice-cold soda, and being transported to another world as the movie plays. At an impressive 80 feet wide and 53 feet tall the enormous screen is enough to make you feel like you’re a child again.
So, gather your family, buy a limited-edition drink and popcorn, and get wrapped up in the magic of the season. Whether this is your first year seeing a movie with us, or your 12th, be sure to buy your tickets now because at only $3.75, they’re sure to go fast.
