Antwan Daniel – The Fight to Eradicate Tuberculosis
This seminar explores the search for a novel anti-tuberculosis agent to combat active and latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria in humans. A first-hand look into what it takes to communicate and collaborate across an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes for ALL.
Professor Antwan Daniels is a distinguished science educator who has taught community college chemistry for over 13 years, instructing 120 courses and serving 2,100 learners ranging from Chem-1405 to Organic Chem-2425, complemented by 11 years of experience as a science educator & instructional coach in K-12 settings. Professor Daniels holds a B.S. in Chemistry, an M.S. in Medicinal Chemistry, and an M.A. in Teaching Science, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education, with a focus on the Self-Efficacy of students in introductory science courses. Chemistry Textbook author and Principal Investigator for a pending NSF grant.
