Kansas City, MO – Union Station officials announced today that once again, more magical memories and brilliant new traditions will fill Kansas City’s Historic Home for the Holidays this year. On November 21st, Union Station will kick off the Holiday season with the opening of “Holiday Reflections, presented by BOK Financial. The supersized, magical holiday walk-thru village will feature new holiday displays and decorations including a Magical Virtual Reality Sleigh Ride – exclusive to Union Station in Kansas City.

“Our team spends months planning and reimagining Kansas City’s largest indoor holiday spectacle,” George Guastello, president and CEO of Union Station, said. “For more than a century, Union Station has been Kansas City’s home for the holidays and this year will be no different. Featuring sky-high light displays, giant forest friends, immersive selfie stations and new this year, a magical VR sleigh ride. BOK Financial has once again stepped up to be the presenting sponsor and their tremendous support allows us to continue delivering magical memories and traditions that make Kansas City’s historic home a must-see experience each Holiday season.”

Guests can expect new sights and sounds as well as family-favorite traditions such as the historic ride-on Jones Store Train and the beloved Holiday Model Train layout. With its massive scale, holidays at the Station require a community approach and, once again, community partners have responded.

“BOK Financial is proud to once again be the presenting sponsor of a holiday tradition, Union Station’s “Holiday Reflections,” Kevin Kramer, Kansas City Market CEO of BOK Financial, said. “Each year, hundreds of thousands of people visit the Station to experience the magic of the Holidays. Countless memories are made, and we’re delighted to be part of them. One of our top priorities is giving back to the community and we couldn’t be prouder to partner alongside a historical institution that does that and so much more so well, especially during the Holidays.”

“Holiday Reflections” walk-thru village is a ticketed experience that includes direct access to the 8,000 sq. ft. award-winning Model Train Gallery, expanded, and decked out in holiday decor. For an additional $5 ticket (FREE for Union Station Members), little ones (under 48”) are invited to ride the Mini Holiday Express Ride-On Train thru Rudy’s Wonderland. All guests must have a ticket to “Holiday Reflections” in order to ride on the mini train.
